Help others to get involved

We are encouraging partners to use existing opportunities, with groups and networks they already have a trusted relationship with10 Year Plan poster to make sure that our staff, patients, and communities have the opportunity to influence national policy. By working together and sharing opportunities and findings we can reach all the communities we collectively serve and all benefit from the insight gathered.

Please tell us about any opportunities you might have to involve people using this email:  wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@nhs.net.  This might be a patient group you run, a list of people you regularly send questionnaires to, a staff group or a partnership network.

If you would like to be kept up-to-date with our work on the 10-Year plan, and new ways of involving people, please give us your contact details here.

Sharing the questionnaire

Please share this link to the questionnaire with your contacts.

If you would like to add some or all of the questions to a survey you are planning run, please get in touch so we can support you with submitting the answers to us by email: wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@nhs.net

If you would like a paper version, or an easy-read version of this questionnaire, or if you would like it in a different format or language please email wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@nhs.net.

Support in hosting a group workshopA group of people brainstorming ideas around a table.

If you are looking to deliver a workshop with a network or group, download the workshop in a box here, and resources to support you which can be found here. You can download an easy-read version of the slides here.

As well as a facilitator pack, there are also a series of regular online briefing sessions to provide support to anyone involved in running a workshop. You can see details of the sessions scheduled, with more sessions to be added over the coming weeks. We will aim to schedule these on different days or at different times so that everyone who wants to, can attend.

Find a briefing session and book your place.

Send us your findings

If you have recently completed involvement or experience work that relates to the three shifts, this might be a report, case studies, or questionnaire responses. Please send it to us using this email:  wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@nhs.net.

If you have complete a workshop in a box, please upload the answers to the discussion questions here.

If you would like support sending us your findings or insight please email us using: wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@nhs.net.

There are many ways that your group can get involved in the 10-Year Plan - no matter your needs and capacity. Work is already underway in West Yorkshire. If you need support in adapting resources to replicate ideas, including the recording of the 10 Year Plan webinare recording, get in touch at wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@nhs.net. If you would like support in tailoring the 10-Year Plan workshops to your group's needs, or want to share an example of how your group has adapted the workshops to suit your needs, get in touch by emailing wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@nhs.net.

Please read the examples below for inspiration.A group of people talking around a table.

The urgent care blueprint development group wanted to add questions to a survey they were sending out to partners and staff, we were able to support them in adding the questions and feeding back the relevant part of the responses. The West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership's Long-Term Conditions team did not have capacity to provide a full-scale workshop. We worked with the team to help concentrate on tighter discussions and provide additional resources.

Sarah De Biase, Senior Programme Manager for Improving Population Health, said of the workshops: "The workshop worked really well. We had a three hour session and one hour was committed to the NHS Change three shifts.

"We covered the slides in the slide deck and had A3 printed off templates for each of the shifts, Q&As, and tasked tables of people to document / take notes on the discussions aligned to each of the prompt questions for the shifts. We then populated an overarching document which will be added to the online survey."

We want as many people as possible to be able to join this conversation about the NHS. To support this, there are a variety of formats and ways to respond to the questions that meet a range of accessibility needs. An easy read for the national survey can be accessed here.

Want to help improve health and social care in West Yorkshire?

WY Voice.png

Thank you for your interest in getting your group involved in the 10 Year Plan. If your group want to continue to provide views on other health and care issues across West Yorkshire, then consider linking up with West Yorkshire Voice.

The aim of West Yorkshire Voice is to reflect the diverse population and communities from across West Yorkshire. It provides opportunities for people, groups, and organisations to have their say about health and care services. We want to link with all the great work already taking place in local areas, but not duplicate what is already underway.

We want groups and organisations to be involved in a way that works for them, this might be:

  • Telling us about any health and care involvement or engagement activities you are running, and we can promote your activity on a local or West Yorkshire wide level.
  • Sharing any relevant reports or resources that you have produced or that you want to promote to raise awareness of the issues faced by the communities that you support.
  • We can share experiences of health and care services from the communities that you work with and highlight important issues. If there is an issue you want to raise at a West Yorkshire level, we can support this process.
  • Linking your networks and groups to West Yorkshire Voice and sharing information about our activities in their local communities.

Find out more about how your group can be involved on our website.
