West Yorkshire & Harrogate Health and Care Partnership is supporting Infant Mental Health Awareness Week 8-12 June. The theme is 2020 Vision: Seeing the world through babies' eyes.
Infant mental health describes the social and emotional wellbeing and development of children in the earliest years of life. It reflects whether children have the secure, responsive relationships that they need to thrive. Protecting and promoting infant mental health is particularly important during this coronavirus outbreak and our programmes are working together to understand the factors that are currently putting babies’ mental health at risk, together with the impact of these adversities on babies’ development and future prospects. We will be sharing news about the work of the Parent-Infant Foundation and First 1001 Days Movement throughout the week.
