West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership won a prestigious Health Service Journal (HSJ) award for system-led support of unpaid carers across West Yorkshire and Harrogate.
The Partnership's Carers Programme has been working with clinical commissioning groups, local authorities, trusts and GP practices to signpost carers to local support, provide information and is develop a “working carers” passport which aims to ensure carers working within the NHS get the support they need. It has engaged with carers to determine what would best help them and developed carers’ champions at both board and grassroots levels within local organisations.
