Tour de Yorkshire 2019

The 2019 Tour de Yorkshire will take place from 2-5 May, with the route passing through all of the West Yorkshire and Harrogate health and Care Partnership areas.

Over 2.5 million people come to watch the annual race, with an expected rise in calls to emergency services and increased hospital admissions during the event.

2 May: Doncaster to Selby

3 May: Barnsley to Bedale  

4 May: Bridlington to Scarborough

5 May: Halifax to Leeds

Road closures

Most road closures will done on a rolling basis, lasting no more than an hour, apart from the start and finish lines and some climbs where the road closures will be longer. Road closures will be managed by the police.

There are some sections of the route that need to be closed for longer periods, these are:

May 2: Howden, Beverley, Pocklington
May 3: Ryhill, Pontefract, Castleford, Kippax, Garforth, Ripon, Harrogate
May 4: Whitby
May 5: Cross Hills, Skipton, Otley, Cookridge, West Park, Kirkstall
