“The number 07984376950 will be operational from 22 April, but if people use the previous number by mistake, they will receive an immediate text message with the new number so they don’t have to search for it. Text has been a popular way for people to get in touch with us since we launched the service and it is important that we get this message out across the county so that everyone who needs us is able to reach out using the method that suits them best.”

NightOWLS is a confidential overnight listening service for children and young people experiencing a mental health crisis, their families and carers. It serves people living in the five West Yorkshire places, Leeds, Bradford District and Craven, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale.

Night OWLS can help children and young people who:

·         feel they have nowhere to turn

·         feel they can’t go on living

·         are in a crisis

·         are finding it hard to cope with life

·         are feeling angry, lonely, anxious or depressed

·         are feeling confused or finding it hard to think straight

·         are feeling unsafe

·         are caring for a young person

·         just want to talk

Families and carers are welcome to use the service, either for support for themselves at difficult times or on behalf of their young person.
