We are delighted to pledge our support to Craven in becoming a District of Sanctuary and we look forward to working collaboratively towards shared goals and the exchange of good practice.
Earlier this year, we were very proud to become the first Partnership of Sanctuary in the country for going above and beyond to welcome people seeking sanctuary in our district and beyond. The City of Sanctuary made the award following an assessment of our activities to provide safe, welcoming and accessible healthcare for refugees and asylum seekers. We openly support the sanctuary values of inclusivity, openness, participation, inspiration and integrity.
