Tackling health inequality for people experiencing homelessness

We commissioned Groundswell to carry out research to help understand the health inequalities which people experiencing homelessness face. 75 people in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield talked about their experiences when accessing healthcare. See the full report.
Following on from the recommendations in the report, Wakefield Council and Wakefield District Health and Care Partnership commissioned Groundswell to work with stakeholders across Wakefield. Over three months we held workshops with stakeholders from health, homelessness and housing organisations and people experiencing homelessness. We collated the outcomes of these conversations to form a framework launched in February 2023 designed to tackle health inequality for people experiencing homelessness in Wakefield.
