The West Yorkshire VCSE Voices Panel is a group of leaders who provide strategic advocacy for ethnically diverse VCSE (voluntary, community and social enterprise) organisations and communities from across our 5 Places – Bradford District & Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield District.

The panel:

  • informed the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership’s Independent Review: Tackling Health Inequalities for Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and colleagues
  • acts as a ‘critical friend’ on its progress for the health and care system
  • works with the Power of Communities Programme to advocate for our grassroots and small VCSE organisations that work with minority communities
  • influences how health & care system tackles inequalities in our diverse communities with the VCSE

We are now in the exciting position to grow and develop further and are seeking two VCSE members from each of the following places: Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield.  If you are a VCSE organisation focused on working with minority communities in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield and wants to influence how the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership works – please consider applying!
