NHS England funds £2million to boost system-wide leadership development

NHS England has funded a £2m programme to help 23 areas kick-start or boost leadership development activities to support and inspire workforce in health systems across England from GPs, consultants and therapists to nurses, social workers and managers. The funding will support systems to develop locally tailored programmes, investing in both newly established and experienced leaders to increase their system leadership capability.

Areas receiving a share of the funding are: South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw, Berkshire West, Lancashire and South Cumbria, Nottinghamshire,  Bedford, Luton and Milton Keynes,  Surrey Heartlands, Frimley, Dorset, North Cumbria, Suffolk and North East Essex, West Yorkshire and Harrogate,  Gloucestershire,  Cumbria and the North East, South East London,  Norfolk and Waveney, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West, Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire, Devon, Lincolnshire, Mid and South Essex, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, South West London and Hertfordshire and West Essex.
