The Fellowship - cohort three applications now open

Posted on: 24 April 2023

The Fellowship is West Yorkshire’s award winning leadership development programme aimed specifically at colleagues from ethnic minority backgrounds who are working within health and care. It was designed to help achieve our 10 big ambitions as a Partnership, as set out in our People Plan. The programme aims to increase the diversity of our leaders within health and care roles across the region. Twenty people have either completed or are currently undertaking the programme since it launched in 2020.

This can include anyone working in NHS organisations, councils, Healthwatch, hospices, charities and the community, voluntary, and social enterprise sector. Those eligible for the programme will usually be looking to progress into their first leadership position.

Applications open on 24 April and close on 16 June 2023. The programme will start in September 2023 and participants will complete the programme by March 2025. To apply for the programme the potential candidate will firstly need a nomination by an executive sponsor in recognition of leadership potential. This form will be available to download on the website from 24 April.

Six online information sessions will be held between 3 May and 8 June to help potential candidates find out more. Potential applicants can also find out more about why you should apply, read case studies from previous participants or refer to the Frequently Asked Questions.
