Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest global threats to health. It’s estimated that antibiotics resistant superbugs will kill more than cancer by 2050. That's why we've worked with healthcare professionals to develop a campaign called Seriously Resistant to raise awareness of antibiotic resistance, help educate people about what they can do and encourage them to take action.

Originally developed in 2016 by NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Group, the campaign has now been adopted across West Yorkshire and is currently active in Kirklees and Leeds. It is regularly reviewed, adapted and developed in response to insight and data, working with our target audiences to make sure our messages are right.

  • The campaign has also been adopted in Durham, Sunderland, Tyneside and Wales.
