Have your say
As part of our Healthy Working Life programme, we are carrying out a survey about working when living with a long-term condition. Healthy Working Life is a joint programme of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
What are long-term conditions?
A long-term condition is a health problem that requires ongoing management over a period of years or decades. It is one that cannot currently be cured but can be controlled with the use of medication or other therapies.
Who will we speak to?
The survey is aimed at anyone living with a long-term condition or caring for someone with a long-term condition within West Yorkshire.
What will we ask?
We ask about your current work situation, symptoms and the impacts of long-term conditions. We also ask how employers can support you at work and what measures you think are important.
What will we do?
In collaboration with the University of Aberdeen, we’ll use the feedback to help shape a practical toolkit to support people with long-term conditions at work.
How can you help?
You can help by filling in the survey if it applies to you or someone you care for. You can also help by sharing a flyer which includes the survey details with friends and family who have a long-term condition. Complete the survey.
The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, 31 October 2025.
