    ​‘Together We Can’ is West Yorkshire’s long term campaign to minimise pressure on urgent and emergency services. This is the fifth year the campaign has been rolled out as a West Yorkshire wide winter campaign. ​

    A new Healthy Working Life workplace health initiative in Wakefield is helping people spot serious health risks early - without needing to visit a GP surgery.

    Through the Healthy Working Life, Sara was able to access dedicated employment support straight away. This meant she received the right help at the right time, without being passed between services.

  • Get Set Goal health checks – video six of six

    In this video we find out how Healthy Working Life was a natural expansion to what students at the University of Huddersfield's Health and Wellbeing Academy already do in the community and how the Go Set Goal health checks are getting great feedback too.

    Locala’s Wellness to Work programme supports people living in Kirklees, aged 18 to 64 who are out of work and want help getting into, or back into, employment. Watch the third video in a series of five to find out more.

  • Fitness for Work – Kirklees Active Leisure - video two of six

    This second video case study shows how, with funding from Healthy Working Life, Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL) developed Fitness for Work, a 12-week bespoke, easy-to-access structured exercise and social activity programme.
